961, The Beirut Collection, is a line of footwear handmade in Lebanon by Kinamania designer/founder Kristina Zouein. The line will be launched in the prestigious glazed shopping arcades of The Royal Gallery of Saint Hubert in central Brussels (Galerie du Roi 22) between May and July 2022. Since the August 4, 2020 Beirut explosion, Lebanon, has been facing three mega-crises all at once: a financial crisis, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the aftermath of the port blast.
With this project, Kristina Zouein – Kinamania founder – aims in her own modest way, to give a financial stability to one, two, three Lebanese artisans and their families. “I will be introducing the collection with a series of mini-reportages. The idea is take you on the project’s journey : from idea to project launch.” says Kristina.
